Wednesday's are the best!

It was soooo nice yesterday, and so when we went to Mimi and Grandpa's for dinner, we were able to let the kids play in the back yard a little while. I finally got some pictures of Mimi- she tends to elude the camera...They had a great time and were EXHAUSTED when we got home! Su Su came in town to take Grandpa to a Dr's appt, and so she got to come with us! Yeah. FOUR generations were at the dinner table!

Mimi and her great-granddaughters...

Su Su and Lila...(I think Lila knows who she is named after..She definitely chooses Su Su over me when she has the opportunity!)

Their favorite- ring around the rosy!

Yeah! No more crawling on the concrete.....(well, for the most part!)
Lots of fun! Lots of memories!

Love, Nicole

Too tired for a cookie

Bennett fell asleep today in his high chair after lunch with an oatmeal cookie in his hand. The funniest part was he would wake up every few seconds to take another bite!!!!!!!! This cracks me up about him, because he gives no real indication of how tired he is, and then all of the sudden he is asleep. He does this ALL of the time in the car when we are going to get Elise at school. I'll look in my rearview mirror one second and he looks bright-eyed, and the next second he is OUT. It's nice that he doesn't fuss or anything, but then you feel kind of bad because obviously you have to be EXHAUSTED to fall asleep in the high chair like he did today...he just couldn't make it until 1:00 naptime...
I am so frustrated with myself for holding my camera the wrong way while filming him...but I couldn't bear to delete it...so, for those of you willing to cock your head to the side, here's a little clip...

He is so kissable!!!!!!!!!! ( I guess all Moms think that about their little boys though!)

Goodnight everyone! Hope ya'll enjoyed your weekend!

Friday Fun with Grandpa

We went to visit Grandpa today while Mimi was at her weekly card game, and he was craving an oyster po boy! So, we made the run to the sandwich shop and picked up food to bring back to my house and eat...Grandpa gave the kids some fries and then wanted them to try an onion ring...Lila immediately put the onion ring on her arm like a bangle bracelet! You may have to click on the picture to get it big enough to see it....
What would I do without my crazy little "middle" child? She is constant entertainment!

Fun with Mimi and Grandpa

I usually forget to take pictures when we go for our weekly visit, but this week I remembered!
As usual, we all had a great time with Mimi and Grandpa...As I have said before, the kids LOVE going over to visit...
I usually pack the kids dinner, but I was running behind this week, so I ended up (shhh-don't tell) driving through McDonald's on the way over to get them something to eat. (I will say, the Madame Alexander Wizard of Oz dolls they have right now are so adorable!!!) Some of my guilt was eased, though, when I noticed a friend two cars in front of me doing the same thing!! I won't "out" her here, but it did make me feel better! Anyway, my point of this is that Bennett and Lila had their first hamburger, and boy did they LOVE it. I think Bennett's half was gone in less than 30 seconds!!! It is so nice that they will pretty much eat and try anything- especially since this is a constant battle when it comes to Elise. I mean, she wouldn't even eat McDonald's chicken nuggets!!!!!!!!
Grandpa has this new walker...seen below...which I don't think he uses...So, Mimi gave L & B a ride on it!

They love to take turns in the rocking chair...

Lila wearing Mimi's bracelet...In the past two weeks she is suddenly extremely attached to her monkey..it is really cute...she carries it EVERYWHERE...think we may have to buy a back-up one soon, as this one is starting to look pretty bad...I think she sucks on its little ear at night!

Elise and Grandpa reading....

I am so thankful for this time that I have with them...I love seeing our children interact with their Great Grandparents and I know that we are creating irreplaceable memories!
Have a great day!
