Friday Night

I wish these pictures were better, and that I had taken more of them....

We had another great night at the trailhead Friday... We were so thrilled that so many friends were there! We met up with the Kitchens, the Bristers, Aimee (sadly Michael was working), the Alphonse family, and some of our new friends from the multiples group- the Spreens, the Ferrantes and the Hamiltons...

It was so much fun and all of the kids had a blast!!

Our big news of the night was that Lila stood up unaided (without pulling up) for the first time!!!

I think Bonnie Kate caught it with her camera, so I am hoping to get a copy of that picture!

Since then she has been practicing like crazy!!

Elise's Playdate

Elise was thrilled to have her friend, Sydney Guice, over to play yesterday.
They had a great time swinging together and eating popsicles...

Wednesday with our other Grandparents

We had our usual Wednesday night dinner with Mimi and Grandpa this week.
Grandpa was laughing because Lila's new thing is to try to give back the finger foods that you feed her. Luckily, we put a sheet down underneath them, because there was definitely more food on the floor then in their mouths...

Bennett's First Haircut

Bennett had his first hair cut today!! I was really contemplating letting the back grow some more because I was starting to see some evidence of curls...BUT, I finally accepted that he had a serious mullet going on and it needed to be cut. So, she just trimmed around his ears and evened out the back. Nothing drastic, but I still can't believe my little baby looks like such a little boy!

Going to Grandpa's house

We took a trip to the southshore today to visit Grandpa and Virginia. Aunt Kathleen and my second cousin Garrett came along for the ride... For those of you that don't know, Grandpa Roland is my Dad's Dad, and he has been married to Virginia for about 14 years - I am so glad he met her. After my Grandmother died I always worried about him. But, Virginia takes care of him!! He turned 90 last December and is still going strong- including cutting his own grass- with a PUSH mower!! His real name is Laurent Alcee Legendre (can we say CAJUN?!) and that is where Elise's middle name comes from. He has a TWIN sister, Laura... One of the "sets" in my family... (glad I got one too! :))

Roland is his nickname and since I call both of my Grandpa's "Grandpa", Elise distinguishes between the two by calling him "Rollin' Grandpa"...it cracks me up!! She also called my poor cousin Garrett "Carrot" all day, but he didn't seem to mind. They had a great time playing!
