Our big boy Bennett has his first shiner. Friday night after
bath time he was running around (as usual- you would think the bath would be relaxing, but our kids are always keyed up afterwards) our bedroom, and dove headfirst into a stack of pillows, not realizing they were propped up against our
foot board. It was one of those moments where, as I hurried to pick him up, I knew I had to look, but I really didn't want to. Between the sound of the impact and his hysteria (he is generally pretty tough!), we knew he was hurting. But, luckily, all teeth are still in place and it looks like his cheekbone and the bridge of his nose took the brunt of the hit. David held him down and kept ice on it for quite a bit, and so I think that is why it looks way better than it probably should...
I took these pics that night, and today it is just looking a little more swollen and a little more purple...But, a true boy, he says "I'm fine. It doesn't hurt".
I know my girls would be milking it for all of the attention they could gather!!!
So glad my baby boy and his baby blues are
allright!!
I have a feeling I need to get used to this.....
Happy Monday!
Nicole
