potty progress

We are definitely making progress with the potty....I've tried a little bit of everything, and so far we are doing ok...it is definitely much more of a process than it was with the girls...
A friend told me about the "potty watch", a cute little watch that plays a song at 30, 60 or 90 minute intervals to help remind them to potty...We thought Bennett would love this, since he loves watches....but after about a day, the excitement wore off. Luckily it was not a huge investment at $10....but, if you no anyone that can use one, let me know...he won't wear it anymore. Between his nagging Mom (such a fun role!), and his new found dislike of being wet or dirty, it is definitely starting to click...so much so that we were able to spend most of yesterday out and about with no accidents!! YEAH BENNETT!!
We still have a long way to go with #2, but without being too graphic I think this morning we may have had some progress...he started in his underwear, but finished in the toilet. Such a big deal in this house!!
The one negative has been that we are on night 7 of not much sleep around here....I feel so bad- it is almost as if the potty training is on his mind so much so that it is disturbing his sleep. He woke up screaming last night that he had to potty (he had a diaper on, but I guess didn't want to use it)...and then it was over an hour and a half before David and I could get him back to sleep...
I have read about the "3 day rule" where changes in routine, location, etc..can cause sleep disturbance for 3 days...well, our kids seem to be good at challenging rules and what the books say! :) Between the 3, we rarely have more than a 1 or 2 day stretch where someone isn't up at night for something.....
So, a tired David and I are just doing our best to remember that this too shall pass, and hopefully we will all be sleeping again around here soon....
And, we are super, super proud of Bennett and the great strides he has made! Can't believe that before long there will be no more diapers in this house!
