Day five we were headed to Hollywood studios. Bennett was, thankfully, much better. 15 hours of sleep seemed to help, and his stomach was doing much better. We were extra grateful because we had an extra special day planned for him.
First up we headed to the back lot tour.
We got to see where they work on costumes.
Herbie
A simulated earthquake, fire, and flood.
Star Wars ship!
David was picked to be in the movie scene they shot! He was super excited! His Hollywood moment!
After that we headed to Star Tours. The first of many times we would ride this ride. All three of the kids fell in love with Star Wars over the Christmas break when we let them watch the old movies. So, they were all pumped to see R2D2 and C3PO and to ride the ride.
The kids got to meet Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. We also did the Great Movie Ride, watched the Indiana Jones Stunt show (this was a favorite!), saw the adorable Muppets 3D show, and rode a family favorite- Toy Story Mania!
Then it was time for Bennett's special treat. Jedi training!! Elise wanted to do it too, and we knew it was in high demand so David had gone to the park extra early to ensure that the kids got spots. Lila was a little leery so she ended up giving her place to another little boy, who was thrilled!
Ready to go!
The Jedi Master.
He definitely takes this seriously...
Uh oh....Darth Vader showed up...
Time to fight the dark side!!!
Go Bennett!!
Go Elise!!
Pushing him back using "the force".
They defeated the dark side!
Yeah!!!!!
After that fun we headed to dinner at Hollywood&Vine and then were very excited to watch the Fantasmic Show. It was one of our favorite things last time and so we specifically planned to be in Hollywood today so that we could see the show again. Unfortunately the weather was not great, but the rain was light enough that they continued the show.
Can you find Mickey?
Disney sure knows how to put on a good show!
Time to head back and get some rest, because we are coming back tomorrow!!
