After a BIG day on Thursday, the fun carried over to Friday as well!
It was truly one of those weeks where we could not have gotten more out of each minute.
First stop, Lila and Bennett's classroom to help them make Mardi Gras floats out of shoe boxes. While I was doing that, David was at home loading the car with everything we had been secretly packing for weeks for the BIG surprise!!!!
Then it was off to Elise's school to get her class all ready for the big school parade. SuSu and G picked up the dynamic duo from their school when it ended and met us at E's school for all of the fun. It really takes a village and I would not have been able to do everything this week without the help of family and friends.
In addition to the vests Elise and I made, I found some inexpensive safari hats and animal print sunglasses from oriental trading (and then that box came in handy at Weds night dinner! ha!) for the kids. It really touched me how thrilled and appreciate all of the kids were for their outfits. Khaki shorts, white shirts, and their handmade binoculars completed the look.
I think they look adorable, if I do say so myself!
E and her sweet friend, Natalie.
And with one of her besties, Reese, who is in the class next door.
The class worked together to make their parade banner.
And here comes the safari crew!! After loading the car and squeezing in a little bit of work at the Northshore office, David met at the school and was one of the parent walkers with her class. Elise loved having her Dad help! I love that, although she could have chosen to wear her Maid dress for the parade, she chose (on her own, and completely her idea) to wear safari gear with the rest of her friends.
It was a fun afternoon of organized chaos and lots of fun was had by all. We checked Elise out of school immediately following the parade because we needed to get on the road...........
DISNEY WORLD here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
